The story begins in
the dark at night. Amanda a girl is alone in her room, and she is frightened
because she is hearing strange sounds to outside of her house, so she hugs
strong to her doll Coey Yocks, but she is imagining these sounds because she
was reading a frightened story before she went to sleep. Now Amanda is
imagining to hear some strong sounds of footsteps such as creaks and crunches
that come from floorboards. Shortly after she realizes that these sounds are
not real.
Later, she heard to her parents talk about some
slaves that had escaped to Canada and that they could be free. Suddenly, she
realizes that this event seems to a reading of a book that her uncle Oliver
gave her. Then, she closed her eyes and she tried to imagine what would happen
if she would lose her doll Coey Yocks, and she felt very sad because she
understood that she cannot separate of her doll Coey Yocks. Later on, Amanda
returns to the reality and she hears to her mother that her father went to find
a job. She wishes that her father can find a job.
Reaction Paragraph
So far, everything I'm reading I like. The author of
this story has a particularity of writing the history. He starts focusing on
the central character that is Amanda. Next, the author skims the story giving
detail by detail. Later, the author makes the story more exciting because he
cuts the sequence of the story. For example, he is relating that Amanda is
imagining to lose her doll and suddenly, the author says, Amanda comes back to
the reality. This sequence gives more suspense and entertaining to the story.
I cannot give details yet about the end of the
story because I have not finished reading the book.
Hello, this is jun.
ReplyDeleteYour book is very attractive for me.
I like mixed illusion & reality story. This book’s story seems like the movie name is pan’s Labyrinth and short movie Vincent. So I expect your next summary.
I like your story because I think it is very interesting.Thank you for making this part easy to understand.
